Civic Science Fellow | Sigma Xi
I became interested in the intersection of science and policy through my involvement in various programs and activities with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Association for Graduate and Professional Students, and National Public Radio, among others. As a Civic Science Fellow I am leading an initiative to develop a digital platform for fostering effective, sustainable collaborations between scientists and policymakers to address the needs of communities in North Carolina.

Eduction. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biology from Duke University (Durham, North Carolina) and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Michigan State University (East Lansing, Michigan).
